The following list briefly describes some of the many fellowship and affinity groups currently happening at our Church.
New groups are forming all the time around shared identities or shared interests, so check the newsletter, calendar, or call the office (452-6168) for more information.
Adult Religious Classes
Weekday evening and Sunday morning classes focusing on spirituality, personal development and religious issues.
Choir
Rehearses Wednesday evenings. Sings approximately twice a month at both services. Open membership. Contact the Music Director or Choir Director for information.
Fellowship Events
A variety of activities, usually done on Friday evenings or over a weekend, including: Friday Night Pot-luck, camp-outs, hiking, Halloween party, Christmas Tree decorating party, Thanksgiving dinner. Events are advertised in the Newsletter.
Gallery Art
Month-long displays of fine art done by church members. Contact the Gallery Coordinators for information about displaying your artwork. Openings are typically held during the first or second week of the month.
Heritage Club
A book club which meets on the 2nd Friday of each month in a member’s home. The book and location are announced in the Newsletter.
Interweave
]An open social and service group for gays, lesbians, bisexuals and transgender members of the church. Join us for our monthly get-togethers at various restaurants and for other activities. Listening Ministry
The Listening Ministry is one of the services offered through the Helping Hands and Hearts Committee for church members experiencing any significant loss, transition, temporary inability to attend church, or other stressful life situation.
Men’s Fellowship Breakfast Group
We are an intergenerational group of men who come together once a month for fellowship over a breakfast we prepare. The fellowship begins when the second person shows up. All men in the church are welcome; no reservations needed. We meet the second Saturday of each month in Howson Hall. Many start arriving at 7:15 a.m. to help set up and prepare breakfast, while others arrive a little later. Breakfast is served about 8:15 a.m., we finish by 9:30 a.m. and cleanup is over by 10 a.m. A $4 donation is suggested to cover food costs. For more information: Mark Kilpatrick at 917-8423 or

Senior Lunch
A monthly open lunch and social hour for UU seniors (you define whether you are a senior!) Meets on the 2nd Tuesday of the month at 12 noon in Howson Hall. More info here.
Sociables
An open Sunday lunch group. Meets at various restaurants after the 11:30 service; the restaurant is listed in the weekly Newsletter.
Sharing Suppers
Small dinner party hosted by members. The hosts determine the menu. A sign-up list is posted on the bulletin board outside the office.
VoYAGers, Young Adults
For those born in the 1960s or 1970s, and are interested in Social Action, Spiritual Growth, and just having fun! Check the Calendar of Events for scheduled events or contact for more details.
Women’s Alliance
A social and service organization, formerly for women church members, but now open to both men and women. Meets in the morning on the first Saturday of the month.
Women’s Spirituality Group
We are a circle of women who come together weekly for ritual and sharing, which centers on women?s spirituality.� We are open for new members at all group meetings.� We meet weekly on Tuesday evenings (7:30-9 p.m.) and Saturday mornings (1:30 pm – 3:00 pm). Yew Grove Pagan Interfaith
We are a group of people who gather together to promote the practice and understanding of Pagan and Earth-centered spirituality, to network among Pagan-identified Unitarian Universalists, to provide for the outreach of Unitarian Universalism to the broader Pagan community, to promote interfaith dialogue, and to encourage a greater use of music, dance, visual arts, poetry, story, and creative ritual in worship and celebration. Young Religious Unitarian Universalists (YRUU)
A fun-loving, crazy, but not intimidating group of youths from ages 14-18. We welcome anyone who is ready to try new things, form new bonds of friendship, and party like its 1999. We are part of the Southwest District and participate in Rallies and SWUUSI events. Feel free to drop by during our meetings at the slightest whim; UUism not required.
We have several lovely, understanding advisors (cool, contemporary adults, with the hearts of extremely responsible kids), as well as a part-time assistant, Scott Butki. Contact Scott for more info:
